at State House for St. Vartanantz Day
BOSTON - Today Representative Peter J. Koutoujian annouced that he will host the Armenian Sister's Academy at the State House for a St. Vartanantz Day Commemoration Performance.
During the performance, the children will recount the story of the Battle of Vartarantz while honoring St. Vartan through Armenian songs and poems.
When: Monday, February 22nd at 11:00am

What: Armenian Sisters' Academy St. Vartarantz Day Commemoration Performance
St. Vartarantz Day is an Armenian national and religious holiday held in remembrance of the Battle of Vartarantz which took place in 451 A.D. during which St. Vartan led the Armenian Army in combat against the Persians. Although the Armenians suffered a military defeat, the Persians recognized the army's outstanding strength and steadfast courage by granting the nation religious freedom.
Vartarantz Day is celebrated by Armenians worldwide. Koutoujian welcomes the public to join him in celebrating this special holiday by experiencing the talent of the Armenian Sisters' Academy.
